80. Stand out for the right reasons.

Don’t try to be someone that you’re not.

All my life, I’ve tried to fit into groups. I actually was quite proud of my ability to do this. I considered myself something of a social chameleon. Was a part of a gamer group? I’d talk games. Was I in my sports team? I’d talk on-field strategy.

As I got older, I’ve found it more and more tiring to keep this up. My energy levels have been down and I’ve consistently fallen back to a certain level of being who I am naturally. That person is someone who’s not that social, is pretty happy being by himself, surrounded only by the closest of friends and family.

I’ve also decided to only do things that make me happy: write, read and share ideas online. No more partying, late nights and keeping up appearances. While I’ve forgone that part of me, I couldn’t be any happier now because I’m finally being who I’ve wanted to become all along.

I just want to stand out by being me. I think that’s what everyone wants to do, deep down.
