85. I really miss having dogs

For my entire childhood my family had dogs.

I grew up with dogs. I love dogs.

However ever since I moved to Malaysia I haven’t lived in a house with a dog. That’s over 9 years now.

My mom still has two dogs so every time I’m back in the UK I’m reminded of how much I miss having dogs in my life.

Even though I only see my mom’s dogs for about one week each year, the amount of excitement and love they show me during that one week is immense. It’s hard to explain unless you have also experienced something similar.

Unfortunately most condos in Malaysia don’t officially allow you to keep dogs. I either need to think about moving countries or becoming significantly richer so I can afford a landed property. Until then my life will sadly remain dog-less (unless I happen to be visiting my mom).
