You can’t sell it but people can’t have enough of it.

Since starting my novel writing journey, I’ve learnt more about who I am and what I’m capable of. Time’s flown by but it’s crawled at the same time. I’m nervous and excited about the end of October when my books will be published but there’s one problem: I have to finish writing them first.

Focus is a big part of how I’m able to finish what I need to do. There are a lot of moving parts in writing a novel. When it comes to writing more than one, you multiply those moving parts. You have to plan stories ahead, think about plot twists and character development sometimes until the end of the saga then pace it accordingly.

This wouldn’t be possible if I didn’t give myself space to focus on what I had to do. I’m not great with huge amounts of detail, making the focus that much harder. However, knowing that focus is a huge piece of the puzzle helps me remove the obstacles that get in the way of me obtaining it.

You can’t buy it but you need it. It’s also priceless too. Fight for your ability to focus. Your future best you will thank you for it.
