89. You need to lose your way to find your way.
Get lost.

It’s fair to say that my life hasn’t followed the track that it was “meant to” . Every year, I’ve had a mini-crisis. It usually went a little something like this:
- get fired up for the year and set goals to do something “big”, e.g. start a magazine.
- get some results that don’t continue beyond a month.
- freak out, have a panic attack, feel I can’t hack it.
- Quit.
Certainly not the sort of role model I want to present to my daughter. At the same time though, I’m thankful for these events in my life. They are like massive storms buffeting my ship this way and that in the expansive sea of Life.
One day, I’ll find the right wind that will push me in the right direction. Then it’ll be up to me to steer it safely to the promised land.
