I don’t have the courage to disagree with you; I’m just a boy.
I know that you’re wrong, but I see that you care.
So I lie.
I say I agree with you; I promise to follow your advice.
I make a decision on your behalf: I assume your sentiment outweighs your words.
I deprive you of that choice and I hope you understand, although you’ll never know.
I never did what you asked of me, but I have received far greater rewards than what you ever could have hoped for.
I’m sorry that I couldn’t just say that then.
