Artistic Vertigo

I have this thing I do. I used to wish I didn’t. I have an idea of something I want to accomplish. My ideas usually arrive with a gasp of a breath and a pop in posture. I can see it. Complete. But then the doodle in my brain turns into a masterpiece. I could do this! I could do that! And when that happens, the finish line of accomplishment stands still, ever true to itself. Yet I manage to move myself away, never taking a step. The dolly zoom of creativity. All at once, it is yet it isn’t. But it always will be.
