Day 29: Inner beauty
by Nataliia Totka
I’m not sure what it means anymore.
Some people say you should look inside more than outside. Not to judge a book by its cover.
At some point, I realized that there are people I could say were “rotten” from the inside. But it might be prejudicial from my side, on the grounds that I have had a bad experience with those people.
I can’t say I give a damn what happened to them since then, but how fast a person you love/like turns out to be the worst human?
It’s astonishing.
I wanna talk about cultivating inner beauty
Here are things you can do to try and be BEAUTIFUL from the inside if you’re not already
- Smile more (not sure that actually helps to be more beautiful from the inside, but carrying positivity around won’t hurt)
- here comes…. look for the positive (there HAS to be smth))
- do smth that makes you happy (that is pretty obvious, the happier you are, the better energy you spread)
- help ppl (doesn’t have to be smth major, baby steps, just talking to your grandma who missed you a lot would do it; share her loneliness)
- forgive (tough one, I know it forwards and backwards. There’s one big truth to it: at some point the pain they caused subsides. It really does)
- find something to laugh about (again — positivity, good vibes)
- keep your mind open, try not to judge (cause you can’t really walk in someone else’s shoes, not literally. EMPATHY!)
- use the world and yourself to spread positivity and kindness
- always remember: you’re probably worth more than you’re given or let to believe you deserve
- don’t stop to question everything and wonder about this BRAVE NEW WORLD ;)
