Do we live multiple lifetimes in a single one?

Do you remember those days of childhood?
Where there was not a worry or care.
Playing on streets or with our dolls,
Imaginary life of make-believe.
They seem so far, was it really some years ago?

That first love, that smile, those songs in the air,
Those naive poems, and promises, and rhymes and rhythms.
Everything seemed would last forever,
And now it seems an eternity has passed -
In-between those dreams and today’s realities.

Was it really this lifetime?
Or have I lived many micro-lifetimes in this single one?
Déjà vu of living and dying in each,
Carrying some lessons learnt,
and some baggage of happiness and pain.
