Don’t Subdue Your Anger
How many times have you come across the statement !
“Expressing anger only hurts you, not the person you are angry with.”
Okay, so the solution is not saying anything when you are angry?
Being angry is a natural human emotion, suppressing it is highly inauthentic. It is a perfectly justified response to many situations. Circumstances can make us angry and it’s okay. Anger is an indicator that there are serious issues that needs to be dealt with for being comfortable.
You should feel it and express it if and when necessary, but you should also let it go.
If you constantly try to present yourself as calm, gentle and nice, while bundling up anger and annoyance within you — then this is what is hurting you and not the other way around.
