Drabble 06: Balloon

She watches it gather up, releases. She blinks rapidly. Biological tears leak from the corners of the eyes. She’s been yawning so much — she hasn’t kept count.

She should go to sleep, but she’s staring at the rubber in front of her expand and deflate. Blue, purple, yellow, orange, green, black, white, the colours of the rainbow.

So lovely.

Hypnotic.

She loves how this can be just… like that. So lovely. So hypnotic.

It looks like it will almost burst, but it doesn’t never does. It floats through empty air.

Just like her.

Lovely.
