Five Small Wins A Day

Each month, I like to pick an experiment and run with it for every month. This month I have been trying to track my day more throughout. I wanted to find out where I was spending time and where can I make some improvements.

Also, I broke down 5 Habits that I wanted to start building into my routine. Things, like reading more and waking up more. I used a very simple app to track this information as well. I still used a todo list but I wanted to separate some of the routines and not actionable items.

I noticed a number of trends for myself. Every night at 10 pm right before I would go to bed I would check in with the habits. I would almost feel bad when I didn’t achieve something. It felt like I was letting down a friend.

Also, on days when I had a heavy to-do list but an open calendar I was more productive. I could mold the day into whatever I wanted.

There was some power in seeing a few small wins through out the day.
