Getting out there
Have you ever had an overwhelmingly positive experience that you initially said no to?
Have you tried something you’ve never done before and fallen in love with it like a child?
Have you discovered something new about yourself after experiencing something outside of your comfort zone?
I know my answer is yes to all the above.
Yet, as an INFJ, I prefer to not just go out there and experience the outside world without filters. I’d rather read a book, talk to somebody I know, spend time in my head. It’s more comfortable that way.
But since I’m in my early 20s, I’m fully aware that now is the time to go out there and engage with the world. The light, the darkness. The white, the black, the grey. The uncharted territories. The scary things. The impossible things. The things that my heart desire. The things that get me excited. The things that keep me awake. The things that bring me joy. The things that devastate me. The things I don’t understand. The things that I’m curious about…
All the things. They are not in my apartment. They are not in my friend circle. They are not in my routines. They are out there in the world. In the unfamiliar. The uncomfortable. The unknown.
And that’s where it’s at. That’s where life is at. Fellow adventurer. You go. Go out there and live it. The best way you know how.
