This is a Vision Map.

Mine, to be more precise.

A dear friend has been creating these once a month to get some clarity, to take time out from daily life and to think about what she really wants.

The evening we sat down to make one for me, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was doing.

How To:

  1. Collect some magazines, 3 or 4 should do.
  2. You will need: Glue, Scissors, peace & quiet, tea (Optional)
  3. Set a Timer for 40 minutes.
  4. During that time, browse through the magazine pages, picking out anything that you feel strongly about. Go with your gut.
  5. After the time has passed, go through your cut-outs. Arrange them on the pages and discard the ones you no longer need.
  6. Stick everything down as you feel.
  7. Display your Vision Map somewhere you can see it regularly.

I felt pretty good after making one. It made me feel creative, but it also allowed me to gather together images I really liked in one space. I never imagined being able to find all of these pieces and influences inside. Doing this once a month will be interesting. Let me know if you have a go!
