It’s cold outside in winter, come in where it’s warm

Outside the wind may be blowing, the traffic may cry a crescendo of red, and the house may not be a home.

The money may run out, the spouse may leave, and the chains may chafe.

The work may be long, the friends may be far, and the patience may be thin.

But inside, the wind dances with the sun on the gunnel, flocks of birds jostle in flight, and the boat plays with the lapping waves — making the same sound as your first crush did in middle school as they stuck their tongue out playfully.

Every dollar has a mission, love is in the airs, and freedom never tasted so sweet.

The work is enjoyable, friends fly in frequently, and the days don’t last long enough.
