And now I wait, where people leave and people come. How fitting a meeting place for the possible beginning of “us”.

They say first impressions count the most. Fucking hell.

Deep breaths. In for six, hold for three, out for four. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

So many people filter past and I’m aware of how solitary my moment is, despite their proximity. My moment, made up of many minutes. Minutes that feel like hours. All mine.

I don’t wish for much and I haven’t ever prayed seriously, but Jesus Christ, God, please don’t let me vomit.
