When it comes to life, many of us look up to someone. Whether that be a parent, relative, professional athlete or someone else in your life.

But when we look up to someone, too many of us believe that means we need to be like them, in every way. You admire that firefighter because he leads a good life. Your thought process leads you to believe you need to become a firefighter in order to achieve that.

Don’t Be a Follower

You don’t need to follow that person in order to have the same values. You don’t need to even have the same career path. You just need to do what you believe in.

“Do what you can today so you can do tomorrow what others can’t.”

Be independent and drive to make your own life one that others will want to look up to.
