After a while the noise fades into background.

The whistling, yelling, laughing, crying, running, jumping, giggling, gulping, glugging, clamour just becomes one with the music, with the non stop announcements, with the klaxon and the hustle of a hundred sugared up kids de-energising themselves.

The tea is weak, but hot, the faux leather couches have an unknown sticky quality to them, but they are at least comfortable.

Around us, haggard mothers wipe tears, pick up shoes and jostle for a seat. Any seat. Those parents that have found some respite are glued to their telephone screens till the next time their walking whirlwinds come to snatch at the water, grab at the snacks.

This is indoor play and it’s not for the weak of heart.
