Reflections, Ripples and Ramblings of a Restless Mind
I started writing a weekly newsletter around a month ago. On top of the daily posts to 100 Naked Words, the random posts of my more general ramblings and the couple of poems I’ve been posting every day, it’s all become pretty intense.
And what I’ve found is that, not unlike when I was a student, the pressure of a deadline helps with my flow.
I’ve known about what I wanted to write about all week, even had some thoughts about the sort of message I’d like to give and shape of story I wanted to write.
Yet here I am up late the evening before, having only just finished the newsletter off (and frantically writing my post for 100NW).
There’s no doubt that time is a constraint for me, I have a job, I have a family.
But if I want to produce quality writing, I may have to consider being less prolific, and more productive.
