Rallying and support

There are those who will be by your side regardless of where you are in your life. They will tell you where you went wrong to your face and will stand by you when you’ve hit the rough road. But there will be many who don’t know what you’re up to, if you’re in pain in some manner or if you’re suffering. When they do know though, some of them show genuine love and solidarity. In the last 48 hours, I have been experiencing some beautiful moments of empathy, from unexpected quarters. Online friendships, former bosses… It is strange how many people keep you in their thoughts when you least expect it. Reinforces my faith in humanity again.
