Consider the Facebook algorithms that calculate your every like, every ad you hide, every article link you save, the photos and words you post. With each click, with each keyboard stroke, we are giving Facebook information about what we like and what we don’t like; we are active participants in creating our own news feeds.

In short: Facebook serves us what they think we want to see, and to an effect, we create the reality we want to see.

That’s the reality of our feeds, which may seem daunting, like we’re trapped in a bubble, breathing back in the carbon monoxide we’ve already breathed out.

And yet — when we create the reality we want to see, we can do so more by simple clicking. We can start writing the scripts, we can start writing messages of power and positivity, we can start voicing and creating what we want our feeds and the world to look like.
