I spent some time reading through career advice for young professionals and below is what stood out to me. Hope you find one or two worth trying.
- Instead of thinking of others’ expectations, pay attention to what excites and makes you happy.
- Curiosity is the flip side of not knowing what you want to do.
- Be patient.
- Not taking risks is risky.
- Try making a big impact asap.
- Find a way to say yes to things.
- Every journey is different. Learn from your mistakes and move on.
- Lean in to your weaknesses. Embrace the feeling of inadequacy.
- Get down to the basics. Keep things simple.
- Act like you’re 35 in the workplace, whether you are younger or older.
- Don’t ask for advice from people you don’t want to trade places with. *At least all of the above is from people who’ve made it to being quoted on the Internet. ;)
