Sunday Afternoon

As she sat on the shaded patio, she felt relief from the oppressive heat. There were light breezes gently causing the tree branches to sway and dance. The calming sound of a wind chime was complimented by bird song. It was Sunday afternoon.

She felt little motivation to do, be or accomplish. Sunday had been preceded by a rich and fulfilling week left behind. A week well lived. She felt a tinge of regret that it had passed. What choices can she make in the week to come that will render it equally satisfying?

She completed her her only mandatory task for the day. She wrote of her contentment. She is free to spend the rest of the afternoon contemplating the value she can add in the days to come.
