Our bodies and the universe that surrounds it are parts of a grand symphony of sounds and vibrations. From molecular science to string theory, modern research points to vibrations as the fundamental process driving this symphony.

Matter to atoms to nucleus to neutrons, protons, electrons to “quarks” and “leptons” — we have progressively uncovered smaller and smaller units that make up all particles of matter.

In the last several decades, some physicists have claimed that there is yet another layer of the onion to peel off, and that under it, at the very core, lie the real building blocks of matter — strings of energy.

This is known as string theory or superstring theory, which claims that everything in our universe, from the planets swirling through space to the tiniest subatomic particle, is at its most basic level made up of microscopic strands of energy.

This conclusion has important implications for our understanding of why energy, sound and vibration are at the frontier of progress in many fields, including the healing arts.
