Wild Card Game

Three Generations at the Table

I just put a little healthy mojo on the cards.

Tonight the chips will be counted. Ten for each player to start. Fifty in all.

Red, blue, white, green, black.

Each represents a whopping five cents.

Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose, but it’s never much. Never more than a whole dollar.

You do not want fail. You do want trump. You do want points.

The queen of clubs is the queen of the game.

Sheepshead will commence in one hour.

I am hoping to take lots of tricks with face cards and diamonds.

Will I win or will I lose?

Don’t know.

That’s why we play the game.

(Well, that and the family bonding. Oh, and the popcorn.)
