Yes, do it everyday.

So, the “do something every day” advice, my fellow “mediums,” seems legit! So far. It's only been 8 days. But it's been a mostly productive 8 days.

Not only was I accepted to 100 Naked Words, I have also been doing the #inctober thing on instagram. It’s a drawing challenge. You are required to draw something, preferably with ink, everyday in October. I don’t draw.

At all. My last drawn for fun/boredom was almost 30 years ago in college. It was of the golf course whose food truck I sold hot dogs to douchebags before douchebags were called douchebags. (We’ve come so far as a culture.)It was actually not a bad rendering. Maybe even still up there today.

I wonder.

Anyway, I’ve chosen to sketch Trump each day. It’s really bad. They make kids laugh. The most fun is the hair. I save it for last and make sure I have lots of room.

Point is, though, it’s got me on a track. A track that I need that small push to stay on. A track that makes it ok to laugh at myself and my own jokes. I am hoping 100 Naked words will do the same for my writing.
