Master a form

Every creation has a form. There are minuets, and sonnets, and the three-chord rock song. There are dances that have four beats, and blog posts that have 100 words.

When you follow a form, you give yourself parameters to guide you. When you create work in that form over and over again, you exhaust the possibilities within those boundaries, and settle into a pattern that works for you. This becomes your personal style.

Decide upon a form to follow, and do it every day. It will be one less thing to give The Resistance leeway.
