Even when you love what you do, you have pesky details to attend to. You need to review your bookkeeping, or send invoices, for example.

It’s easy for these details to derail our progress on the important stuff. After all, if these things don’t get done, you won’t have a job anymore. Your lizard brain wants to make pesky details more important than they are.

There’s one way to calm your lizard brain and keep pesky details at bay: Designate a “pesky details” time in your week. (Friday afternoons are good.) If pesky details rear their ugly heads, put them off until then.
