  1. So, just a few things have happened since I last posted. My wife and I bought a house. We adopted a puppy. There was this minor election that took place. Needless to say, I have a lot of excuses here for having fallen off the map.
  2. But no! No excuses! I’m not letting The Electric Prunes get off that easily. Because in truth, they’re the biggest reason I stopped posting. This album fits neatly into the lower-middle end of the 1001 — it’s a solid, but unremarkable album, reminiscent of some other bands like the 13th Floor Elevators, with a handful of truly excellent tracks (such as the title track). But ultimately, it ends up sounding…kind of like what you’d expect from the history of the Prunes. I can see why this album sold well, why some felt they had a chance to lead the west coast Psych movement, and also why they never really took off in that manner.
  3. So here we are: life has settled down enough for me to return to the list, and I’m powering through the Prunes to get moving again. Thanks for your patience!
