Daily Scrum Reminders

Context

Not all team members can attend every Daily Scrum. Maybe they work part time, are on vacation, sick or at the customers site.

Important information is not communicated to the missing team members as a result.

Action

Put a sticky note on the Scrum Board for important things that were communicated during the Daily Scrum — or any other meeting.

Write the names of all missing team members onto the sticky note.

When the missing team members get back, they see on the board what important information they missed and can inform themselves by asking the other team members.

Once they are up-to-date they cross off their names from the sticky note.

When all names are crossed off, remove the note from the board.

What you gain

Every team member is informed about important decisions, insights and so on. This leads to better collaboration and decision making.

How to strengthen

Reserve some space on the Scrum Board for the reminder notes.

Risks

I see no risks in this idea.
