Video Lunch
This post is part of 101 ideas for agile teams.
Context
The team often eats lunch in pairs or even alone.
There is none to little time for education.
Action
Team lunch during which we consume a video e.g. a TED talk or another (not explicitly work related) video or talk on which we could learn something.
Afterwards we talk about the seen talk or video. This has to be completely voluntary.
The team chooses from a video backlog what to whatch next.
What you gain
Team eats lunch together. Stronger team cohesion.
Team learns something new.
Team discusses about this content.
Risks
Not everyone can participate (e.g. children at home that are hungry, too). Can give a feeling of exclusion.
