Some people use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to create web and mobile interfaces. We used to do the same.

But when our Art Director suggested we start working with Sketch, we didn’t hesitate to try it.

Working in Sketch enabled us to provide fast interfaces without losing quality.

What Is Sketch?

Let’s find out what Sketch says about itself:

“Sketch is built for modern graphic designers, and it shows in every fibre of the app. From a flexible workflow with support for Multiple Pages and Artboards. Powerful features like Symbols and Shared Styles are there to make reusing elements quick and easy

Easily create complex shapes with our state-of-the-art vector boolean operations and take advantage of our extensive layer styles. Sketch’s fully vector-based workflow makes it easy to create beautiful, high-quality artwork from start to finish”.

In a few words, Sketch is graphic software that gives users the ability to create interfaces for apps easier than Adobe’s software does. Also, Sketch’s file sizes aren’t enormous which allows users to save more computer memory.

Add the following motives to what’s written above. You’ll get many reasons why we (and lots of other designers) prefer Sketch.

Interface

Interface creation with Sketch works great as it is much faster and easier than Adobe’s products. However, Sketch is a tool that solves one problem well because image editing still works better in Photoshop.

Speed

Working with sketch is fast because it is native software created for Mac OS.

Sketch allows designers to use only the necessary functionality. There are lots of plugins that can easily be downloaded and installed.

With Adobe products on the other hand, you download the whole software with all of its functionality even if you use only a few features. This loads the computer’s memory and lowers the pace of the work.

In Photoshop, designers work as fast as Photoshop allows them to. In Sketch, designers work as fast as possible. No more wasting time waiting for Photoshop to load something.

Even finishing in Sketch is very easy since you can end the project and get all the UI elements easily in three clicks. That’s all.

There is also the ability to create multiple pages and any number of art boards in Sketch, making work and access to the interface elements easy.
