New speaking engagements coming up
As some of you may know, I always try to get one or two good speaking engagements a year to avoid getting rusty and keep the self esteem engine running. I have talked about various topics in the last years, ranging from gamification to collaboration and even Social Media when it was still exciting. This year’s talks will focus more on the future of technology and it’s implications for HR aka employees.
Kienbaum Jahrestagung, Ehreshoven (Germany), June 2016
Kienbaum, which is a management consultancy with an HR focus, invited me to join them at their annual conference in Ehreshoven, Germany. I’m quite happy with this being one of my key engagements this year, especially because they had some impressive speakers in the last years. Other speakers from adidas, SAP, Siemens and Vattenfall will tackle different aspects of HR transformation. My exact topic is yet to be defined, but it will evolve around the future of HR and some of the key activities my current employer is deploying to get ready for it.
Fifteen Seconds Festival, Graz (Austria), June 2016
This one is a very different beast. Coined as “Europe’s festival for curious minds”, I’m happy to speak with representatives of VICE, Hyperloop, Ideo, SAP, Oracle and others. Looking at the speakers and schedule, it’s a pretty diverse lineup with the potential for some extended fun (I will be in and around Graz for five days if everything goes as planned). My topic is still in the making, but will involve some recent tech developments and a lookout into the future with some moonshot thinking involved.
If you wonder what to expect from my presentations, it always helps to have a look at some stuff I have done in the last years. For example this little presentation about Millennials and their expectations, which was well received and gathered some 10.000 views on Slideshare:
