One of my favorite MIT Sloan traditions is the “letter photo”, where students who are traveling in groups — particularly on “official” study tours or treks — form the letters “MIT” at classic photo opportunities.

I know. Super cheesy. Super corny. But, like many such things, works once you give it the chance to. It gives the group a chance to bond, and creates a shared experience that you can enjoy as a memory, even if you aren’t actually in the photo. Up top was my team in South Africa. Below is a group I was with in South America:

Yay for social memories.
