Think Before You Post

For my emoji to represent social media in the workplace, I selected “Thinking Face”.

Social media is a dynamic tool that has revolutionized both our personal and professional lives. It’s useful for spreading information rapidly and fostering a sense of community in the workplace. At the same time, I’ve seen certain coworkers post offensive and inappropriate things to their social media accounts, which ends up spreading like wildfire throughout the office. People are offended and relationships are strained- all because of one careless social media post.

That’s why I went with the “Thinking Face” emoji to represent social media in the workplace. Social media is awesome for the workplace, but you have to think before you post. This should really go without saying, but taking a few moments and doing what this emoji is doing (i.e. thinking), could truly help the workplace environment.
