Ducks Unlimited is in the midst of survey more than 31 million hectares of the Northwest Territories’ wilderness in partnership with First Nations and Métis. According to a CBC News story, “the First Nations and Métis involved in the project will use the data to inform their land claim and development plans.”

An interesting collaboration that seems to be a positive action in the battle against climate change.

Ducks Unlimited also wrote a piece about ‘Natural areas that have shaped the nation’ http://www.ducks.ca/stories/canada-150/iconic-landscapes/ and created an interactive map to explore these beautiful landscapes: http://www.ducks.ca/150000-acres/.
