Sylvia McAdam
Sylvia McAdam is one of the co-founders of the Idle No More movement. She identifies as a Treaty 6 descendant, Nehiyaw and Anishnabe woman and is a voice to listen to in the Indigenous Rights debate.
Here’s one way to listen:
McAdams recently (June 21, 2017) tweeted out a photo of a letter her mother received from the Department of Indian Affairs way back in 1921.
It’s a #mustread, and according to Buzzfeed, “has been shared more than 5,000 times on Facebook and Twitter.”
