What is Success?

Successful goal setting

Small goals lead to great success

— The smallest failures make the biggest successes possible .

Think back to when you were a young kid. What was your success. Was it getting a cookie, or getting to stay up a few minutes past bedtime. Your success may have been scoring a goal, or even just kicking the ball during a game. The point is, if you really take a close look, you will see success is in the eye of the beholder. Open your eyes and behold the many small successes that make up your SUCCESSFUL life.

— -What is Success?

Success is a very simple concept to define. Success is achieving a goal. What it means to the individual is varied greatly. When I was younger, getting a high score on a video game was success to me. Later in life, getting a good grade or a date with the girl I liked was what I considered success. Later in life it was creating a win-win situation in business.

One thing I discovered when I started to have more and more success in my life is that I wanted to help other people find success in their life. I really started to love the process of discovering ways to succeed, and to help other people see the potential in their own life.

Not every attempt at success will create success. Sometimes success is just getting up and trudging on after the most recent failure. Success is knowing what you want, and knowing you will get there regardless of the obstacles placed in your way. Knowing success is reachable is just the first step.

Each situation is different. Each person is different. I really learned that as I started helping other people find success. Everyone I started helping had different goals, different dreams, and very different wants. It did not matter what the goal or desire was, to be successful and reach those goals took conscious effort and direct action.

The smallest goals create a flow of successes which will build toward larger ones. Set small goals as stepping stones, track each step, and reward yourself as you make progress.
