Fucking Cops Man…

“When the power of love is greater than the love of power, the world will know peace.”… ¶ “When the power of love is greater than the love of power, the world will know peace.” ¶ You think that the cops would be there for you and your safety. Never. I had many experiences where I had to call the cops on people in my life and they would show up, but no justice would be done. Since that point, I learned that cops are not always going to be there for you. They are not going to be there when I really need it.

Imagine

Imagine yourself playing in a championship game and the game is tied 1–1 and the other team fouled your player inside their box and it…became a penalty and it was your turn to take the penalty shoot. What would you feel at that moment? I was in that position before. I felt like the whole world was watching at me. It was so much pressure for just one person. Ive never felt so nervous like that in my life before. ¶ It all happened in kezar stadium and it was against Drew high school. It was getting dark and the lights were coming on.

My Depression

Have you ever thought of a time to just end it all? I have and it was an experience I will never forget in my life. Life is a difficult…thing to live when someone is constantly surrounded by friends but still feels so alone, so cold, and so constantly afraid to be put in this dark abyss were the only noises you can hear are the voices of your head. I experienced this when I was a senior in high school. ¶ It was in the beginning of my senior year. My first time actually being depressed hit me like a train. I have been depressed before but when those times happened it was a day or two this lasted until the very end of my senior…

Senioritis

An interview with my teacherMr. E gets frustrated when his students suffer from senioritis. ¶ The symptoms are laziness, apathy, lack of concern due to the belief that they have already finished graduation even though they have a semester left. ¶ It has a huge impact on me and my class. It hurts my soul how it is effecting my students so badly that seven of them may not graduate. ¶ I don’t know how to cure senioritis. ¶ Students don’t fully know that scholarships and even college acceptances can be taken away if…

Hello! My name is Daquana and I will be interviewing you for a school project.

Interviewing: AyjumilupitoHomelessness is the topic you will be interviewed on, because throughout many streets in California, homelessness has began to increase immensely. I truly believe everyone deserves to have a safe warm place to live especially with the correct amount of supplies. What I would like to know is your views on how this all can come to an end and how to stop Americans from falling into a rut, also known as homelessness.

A little reminder from granny

I try not to let dialysis affect my daily behavior. Now I have to eat really early and I can’t eat late anymore. Even though I am on…dialysis, I still go to work, go out to eat and I enjoyed this Mothers Day. I am not sick, even though I do have kidney problems. My biggest accomplishment throughout my life has been that I have 1 child and a granddaughter. I want my granddaughter to stay safe, go to college and become successful. Whether you become a nurse, lawyer, counselor, at least try, because without trying there is no accomplishment.

18 Then and 18 Now

What did being 18 mean for you?It meant I was able to make my own choices and I moved out. Didn’t have to answer to anybody. ¶ Being 18 then, what did you do for fun? ¶ I didn’t do anything for fun. I never got to have any real fun, I was never into going to parties and the clubs. ¶ What was the most technological thing you owned and did you use it constantly? ¶ I don’t even think I had a cell phone. I had a 5 changer stereo with all my favorite CD’s and I played that everyday.

Song that Changed things for me

This song inspired me to play the guitar. Sure, I may have had influence from the Beatles and Aerosmith, but Metallica’s “Enter Sandman…” drove me to learn how to play the guitar. I had heard other types of Hard Rock/Metal in my life, but none like this. It was heavy and had great guitars in it (the solo is amazing), and that really made me want to be badass! I had to learn how to play it! It took two years for me to finally have the skills to play the whole song and I was proud. ¶ Click the logo to read more student responses.

If i can make it to the other side of sorrow

Kanashimi No Mukou He — School DaysThis song for me changed my life for the worst of ways. When I was in middle school, I met my first real friend. Her name was S. I knew her from 7th-8th grade and she introduced me to Japanese music. This song stands out more than any of the other Japanese songs because S was shot and killed at a party in front of me. Because of her death I’ve fallen into depression and this song describes my pain that I face every day.

Make Me A Mixtape

My soundcloud setlist x 10

TRAPQueenThe reason why I chose this song is because my partner D dedicated it to me. #TRAPKingQueen ¶ A Drop in the Ocean ¶ The reason why I picked this song is because whenever my partner D isn’t there I always reflect on the most amazing times we have together 💗, just so I don’t feel alone to keep a smile on my face. ¶ Omi-Cheerleader ¶ The reason why I chose this song is because it mellows out my mood and calms me down.
