1Hive doesn’t have a management hierarchy, people are free to come and go, contribute a lot or a little, to take up and champion initiatives or to simply hop in and provide casual support.
Swarms are self-organizing working groups within the 1Hive community. They do not have any formal authority, they are simply social structures intended to help connect community members, focus discussions, and get things done.
Swarms can form around horizontal work areas or vertical project initiatives or themes. Rather than a strict structure, swarms are what they need to be and nothing more or less. In some cases a swarm is just a channel in discord, in other cases it may have an associated multisig, typically an Aragon DAO, or similar structure to store funds.
Anyone who has an interest in a particular area of the 1Hive ecosystem is encouraged to find the relevant Swarm and get involved to find where they can start contributing.

Swarms
🌷Tulip — A swarm working on trading and DeFi infrastructure including Honeyswap, a fork of Uniswap v2 that will incentivize liquidity provision using Honey. And other “Bee-Fi” related projects.
🌻Gardens — A swarm that manages the development of the Gardens Template. A platform where communities can issue their own currencies and existing token projects can engage their community by sponsoring community directed development efforts.
🌞Celeste — A swarm working on a decentralized dispute resolution protocol based on Aragon Court that incorporates BrightID to make participation less capital intensive. It will be used, amongst other things, for enabling the 1Hive community to remove malicious proposals from Honey Pot.
🐝Buzz — A swarm focussed on communicating, documenting, and generally spreading awareness about 1Hive and Honey to help cross-pollinate our ideas to the rest of the world. Also makes honey memes.
🏵Pollen — A swarm and system that maintains our SourceCred instance to distribute Honey based on contributions in Discord, Discourse (the Forum) and Github.
🌺Flora — A swarm working on dev ops, infrastructure and node operations. Flora is currently exploring running a validators and emerging roll-up chains.
🐱Fauna — A swarm dedicated to moderation of our discussion channels. Members of this swarm are the ones you’re likely to come in contact with should you need help with anything.
🦋Morphosis— A swarm creating educational content and running online courses in various subjects including analytics and development. Morphosis hopes to enable and encourage more contribution to the 1Hive ecosystem.
🌜Luna— A swarm that is focused on modelling and simulation of economic principles to help inform concepts and configuration for various applications within the 1Hive ecosystem.
🐛Bug Bounty — A swarm that manages funds available for the 1Hive Contract Bug Bounty program. It is responsible for interpreting and responding to uncovered exploits.
🌈Design — A swarm that creates various designs for other swarms, including Tulip, Gardens, Celeste, Buzz and more. Team goal is to create, develop and improve the graphics which support user interface, user experience and marketing.
Swarms and their projects are funded by 1Hive community members — if a swarm fails to create the value the community expected, the community may elect to no longer support it.

Promoting the 1Hive DAO, its community, and related projects including Honeyswap. Active social media include Twitter, Telegram, Discord, GitHub, Reddit, Instagram, Medium, Hacker Noon, YouTube, and Discourse.
🏵 Pollen projects
- Recognize contributions to 1Hive’s Discord, Discourse, and Github communities, and reward these contributions with weekly distributions of Honey.
- Ensuring the system isn’t easily exploitable.
- Keeping parameters up-to-date.

🌞Celeste projects
- Celeste
From a purely economic perspective, Celeste is really valuable to 1Hive for two reasons:
- People will need to stake honey to participate as a keeper, and pay fees in honey in order to create and appeal disputes. As demand to use celeste increases, we will see demand to buy and hold honey increase.
- Because we are limiting the amount of honey individuals can stake in Celeste, we can expect that by promoting adoption of Celeste we will see the gini-coefficient of Honey decrease resulting in a more resilient and decentralized community.

- Modelling 1Hive using cadCAD model to test various parameters around Honey Issuance policy.
Provide 1Hive with operational decision-support through data-driven agent based and dynamic systems modelling — in other words, Computer-Aided Governance.
🐛Bug Bounty projects
- Smart contract bug bounty program
This program covers all currently deployed 1Hive related smart contracts on the xDai network that are actively being used from the 1Hive Github organisation. Contracts that 1Hive uses that are not built by 1Hive community members may also be considered depending on the extent to which they have been used within the 1Hive ecosystem and the consequences they could produce.
