Dear Prudence, from The Beatles “White Album,” is a standout track with an interesting back story that carries an intriguing mystery.

Composed in 1968 during their stay in India, it features Lennon’s fingerpicking style learned from Donovan and was a lyrical message of encouragement to Mia Farrow’s sister, Prudence Farrow.

However, Ringo Starr temporarily quit the band during the “White Album” recording sessions, with Paul McCartney famously filling in on drums.

Some fans argue that Ringo is the real drummer on “Dear Prudence,” not Paul, which has sparked heated debates. Proponents of “The Ringo Theory” cite the drum fills as proof, while others suspect a more hidden scenario.

Uncovering the truth settles the debate and also reflects The Beatles’ remarkable evolution as musicians, despite the chaos of the 1968 “White Album” recording sessions.

Yet, the question remains: Was it Paul or Ringo on drums, or is there a deeper studio secret at play?
