First Draft opens offices in London and New York to combat information disorder globally
We are thrilled to announce that First Draft is expanding: We are planning election projects in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Indonesia, South Africa, Spain and Uruguay, plus a cross-border project to investigate misinformation tactics and trends in Europe. With thanks to ongoing support from key funders, First Draft operates as an independent entity with headquarters in London and a New York Bureau housed at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. Our London office is near Kennington Park. If you are interested in working on this challenging topic with us, or know someone who is, please apply.
In three and a half years, First Draft has gone from a gathering of people working in verification to help establish standards and build skills, to a project that carries out fieldwork, research and training. We’re excited as the prospect of having a larger staff to expand our work, and will keep you posted along the way.
