QUICK GUIDE: Finding Eyewitness Media from an exact location on Twitter

When news breaks, a quick way to find photos and videos from the scene is to search Twitter using latitude and longitude coordinates.

I have used today’s attack on the Afghan parliament in Kabul to demonstrate my preferred method.

You can add many more instructions to this prompt to filter your search even further, reducing results by date and/or miles from location: e.g. near: “34.464709, 69.118657” within:3mi since:2015–06–21 until:2015–06–22
