Mom would freak if she knew what I do for a living.
Sometimes I think she’d be more at home in the middle ages, when everything fell into one of two classes: what the Church espoused and evil.
She can accept some of the things science has learned, if there’s enough proof, but none of this New Age stuff.
That’s akin to witchcraft, in her eyes.
I hold an object and know about whoever owns it.
As soon as I touched her doorknob yesterday, I knew.
I begged her to leave.
She didn’t listen.
The fire was front-page news today.
