I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? — Luke 18:8

He will avenge

God is the avenger of his people. Those who put their trust in him shall never be afraid. He will stand for them and he will fight their battles. The God of vengeance will show himself strong on behalf of his people. those who trust in the Lord are well-kept for the Lord will fight for them.

Speedily

Sometimes we yearn for a speedy deliverance. When we face troubles and trials, we want God to come through fast. He may not come the way that we expect him to. Jesus may not deliver us at the time that we want him to deliver us. But we can be certain that he will fight for us.

The quickest war that is ever waged in the battle against sin. Christ wants to deliver his children from the penalty and the consequences of sin. He wants to do that speedily. Jesus does not overlook the hardships that we go through. He knows our frame and he wants to provide for us a mighty hand.

Like David, we might cry unto God. We might ask how long shall be our deliverance? How long should we wait? It may seem like God is taking forever. We can be assured that he is always on time. Not only is Christ on time, but he seeks to deliver us speedily.

The son of man

Jesus is the son of man. This is one of his most repeated title in the Bible. Yes, he is the creator. Yes, he is the archangel. Yes, he is the one that stands above all. Yes, he is the king of Kings. Yes, he is the Lord of lords. Yes, he is the lion of the tribe of Judah. Yes, He is the son of God. Yes, He is the son of men. And he will be so forever. He is the gift of God to humanity throughout the endless ages.

Shall he find faith?

Christ can deliver. Christ can save. His hand is not shortened; he can help. The question remains will we put our trust in him? Do we have faith that he can do the impossible? If Christ must tarry, will we hold fast? The biggest worry of Jesus is simply this: will he find faith on the Earth?

On the Earth

Praise be to God. Even in the last days of Earth history, and there will be found a faithful people. Just like in the days of old, God always has a people. In the book of Revelation it is written, here is the patience of the saints. Here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
