Where were you?

The majority of us are less than 100 years old. Our understanding of the universe and the things we see, taste, smell, and touch are limited. We learn from our ancestors, our parents, and others. We depend on the knowledge and insights that are passed down from previous generations. We formulate a worldview based on the processed information we have gathered in our short existence.

None of us can detail how things were started. By experimentation and conjecture, we develop our own understanding and beliefs. Yet all our beliefs about how the universe came into existence cannot be sustained by our own testimony. We are not from the beginning. Our best observation and formulation of the universe is indeed an act of faith.

When I laid the foundations of the earth?

The Bible continuously presents God as the creator of the earth. The psalmist recognizes in the book of Psalm that the earth is the Lord’s. God claims to have created the earth and its entirety. God talked with servant Job about who is truly in control of the universe. He asked Job to understand that He is from the beginning. He is the one who founded the earth.

Moses the servant of God, also, chewed upon this idea. After seeing the wondrous works of the mighty hand of God. He acknowledged that:

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God— Psalm 90:12

The earth is no an accident. It is the mere result of chance. He has been carefully measured and crafted by God. The magnificence of creation declared the glory of its maker. The ingenious things of nature show the power of God. He established the earth. He formed it by the word of his power.

Creation

The creation scene is recorded in the book of beginning. The very opening of the bible tells of a creator God who founded the heavens and the earth. In six days, he created the world. He appointed evenings and the mornings to finish his work. He first created the spacing and the fill with good things. At the end of the week, God quality-controlled his work as very good.

If you have understanding

Declare. If you have understanding of how the world was formulated, declare it. Declare If you were here in the beginning and have a better picture of how the earth was founded, declare it. I certainly was not there when the foundations of the earth were laid. I believe the biblical account by faith. Even thou such knowledge is too wonderful for me, I praise God who made heaven and earth.

The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever. He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion. He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant. He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen. The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. — Psalm 111:2–8

Were you there? Were you? When the earth was founded, where you there? Declare, if you have understanding. Gird up now your loins, let us know your eyewitness account.
