That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world — Philemon 2:15

God wants a holy people. No excuse can be found for sin. In every generation, God makes enough provision to enable us to live a godly and perfect life. Jesus is here for us, and daily we need to learn to make his our sufficiency. Now, we need to stop all excuses. Come to Jesus; even the vilest sinners can benefit from the grace of God. Sadly, even in the church, we find advocates for Satan. They discourage those who want to walk in holiness and fear.

We must never think that we can conquer sin by ourselves. If we become too boastful and rely on ourselves, we will always fail. When we feel we are sinless, we commit a significant error. As long as we live in this world, we will have to fight against the enemy’s attack. And we must acknowledge that if it were not for the grace of God, no one would be saved in this last. Christ has cut the previous days short in righteousness.

Nothing should surprise us in the last days. Many who called themselves Christians are the agents of Satan. In the modern church of God, we find all the sins of Sodom. Pride and selfishness abide in the heart. And very few are consecrated to the Lord Jesus Christ. Unless God has left us a remnant, the church would have become the spectacle of Satan. Yet, even amid this wickedness, God’s grace can empower to live godly lives.

We need to become harmless and blameless amid this crooked and perverse generation. Many people are innocent in the eyes of others, yet before God, they are wicked. And many whom we criticize are spotless and covered by the blood of Christ. Victory over sin is possible. We can live without rebuke in this world. By God’s grace, we can shine as an example to help rescue the perishing. For even in this crooked generation, the grace of God is powerful to save.

Do you desire to live without rebuke before God?

The Prayer — Heavenly Father, purify our souls. Please help us live for your glory. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
