Week 13: The Final Stretch
Finally feeling like I’m on the last lap with this project. My final deliverable is going to be a screen recording of me exploring the site, taking the test, and showing what the user experience would be like. The video is completely done all the way through to Step 3 of the test. I also have everything ready for my poster, with the exception of the copy. Next week, my goal is to finish animating Step 3, and then work on making the final screen recording. I also want to choose some of my favorite screens to call out in the Behance portfolio and on my own portfolio site. After presenting in small groups and to people I know, I realize that my project isn’t as self-explanatory as some others may be. Explaining my process, and reasoning for the decisions I made will be highly important for how I present it.
Last week, I was able to share the recording I created up through Step 1 with Leslie Hersheberger, an Enneagram professional here in Cincinnati. I had met with her last summer while researching for my project but had not shown her anything I had created this semester. My conversation with her could not have gone better. I was surprised that Leslie was equally excited about the design and how I had organized and described all of the information. She was so happy with what I have created that she has requested I send her the final video so that she can share it with Helen Palmer. Helen Palmer is an internationally recognized Enneagram teacher who has been helping teach it around the world since the 1980’s. Leslie is hoping that Helen will be interested in having these designs developed and turned into a live platform that people can actually use to learn about the system or find their type. I’m not getting my hopes up too high, but it would be amazing to see the design I’ve created actually come to life and aid people in understanding this complex system.
Attached is the animation that I showed Leslie, and then the rest of the video I’ve created since I spoke with her.
