For those whose don’t know who Casey Neistat is, he is a YouTuber and entrepreneur. Right at this moment he’s got more than 11 millions subscribers.
Because of Boosted Board, I’ve watched many if not all of his videos related to this e-skateboard or e-longboard (Casey really loves Boosted Board.) His energy and super positive attitude were really impressive. Of course I did subscribe his channel immediately.
There are tons of YouTube Chanels out there but not many could have more than 10 millions subscribers. I don’t mean to measure the quality of YouTube channel only by the fans number. It’s too shallow. However, there’s must be something special if one could have that many subscribers.

Way before Casey became a YouTuber, he and his brother did a lot of films already. They even sold a television series to HBO. And before this, the first big break for them was a 3-minute film titled iPod’s Dirty Secret in 2003.
The video might be short, but the skill of storytelling shined already.
Authentic and Transparent To His Subscribers

Casey did advertise for company or brands sometimes. But he insisted being authentic and honest about it. Taking little help from the brands or agents. Focus on the storytelling people really care about. The creative approaches actually turned out to be win-win situations for the brands and him.
Consistency
For a period time, Casey insisted releasing a YouTube video a day. And he was already a skilled and long time content creator before having a YouTube channel. He’s been making videos when he was young and didn’t give up his passion. He just didn’t quit!
Of course, he is really passionate about film making. You could easily tell from his videos. I didn’t list this as one of those 3 reasons of being who he is today. Because passionateness is the fundamental to success.
