Being on the social side of college often requires exchanging money, whether its for food, supplies, or party pitch. But running to an ATM to get cash is annoying and comes with fees. Luckily, the 21st century has produced dozens of great money-exchange apps, and Venmo is among the best.
I have personally used this free app on many occasions with remarkable ease. It allows you to request payment, or make a payment from your checking account to someone in as little as 10 seconds. You can also direct message friends and sync to your social media accounts, allowing for quick transactions between people you know. I would encourage anyone looking for an easy way to improve their casual business dealings to use this app. And if you somehow add an extra digit or two to a payment, Venmo emails you after every transaction so mistakes can be corrected.
