From early on in our lives, we are all told we have to learn the core curriculum classes of reading, writing, and mathematics in order to find a place in the real world. But the 21st century, especially within the last decade, has placed a huge emphasis on technology. As such, the best and brightest are learning digital skills in addition to standard schooling, in order to compete for prized employment at some of the worlds top tech companies. In order to help people to stay competitive in the current work environment, Mozilla created a free and open-source site called the Web Literacy Map. The site can provide videos and step by step instructions for people seeking to learn how to code, how to better utilize applications, how to master social media, and more. Free advice and help like this is often hard to come by, so I would encourage you to check out Mozilla’s Web Literacy Map.
